Frank Sears Memorial:

Frank Sears did anything he could to help out go kart racers and go karting in general prosper and never expected anything in return. He was a great sponsor of any and all go kart tracks and go kart events. He was a man of many hats: entrepreneur, business owner, father, husband, race director, tear down director, fuel checker, and most of all friend.

As an entrepreneur Frank started his sanitation business with a hope and a prayer-- he gave everything he had to make his business grow and grow it certainly did. His business flourished. Along with his business which was hs pride and joy was his loving family. He always spoke about his girls and wife in a loving manner and could not stop talking (bragging) about his grandsons. He was always going to hockey and baseball games which his grandchildren were always the stars-- anyway in his eyes they were the best. He also sponsored teams his grandchildren played on. Frank would say I love giving back to my community. It is our responsibility to give back to the things in life we love.

Frank Sears started hus racing career many years ago when he raced at Shellhammers, Huntertown, Oreville, and many other go kart establishments. He started his race director managements at the Park City Mall where there was a race track set up in the parking lot. Needless to say, Park City was only the stepping stone to other special races that Frank directed. He was involved with Bensalem and Frackville to mention a few. He was also always in the heart of karting, either by being the race director, helper to those who needed it, sponsor, or just to listen as a friend. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed help during the races. If your go kart or motor broke during the race, he would let you borrow anything he owned to get you back out on the track. After all, winning the race wouldn't be the same if not all the contestants were racing. Frank had a great sense of humor. On many occasions, after giving a motor or something to get them back on the track, he would get beat racing the event. He would say, "What was I thinking, I lent him a motorand he beat my drivers butt-- maybe I should get him to drive for me. Oh well, that makes for better racing!"

Frank sponsored classes at the end of the year banquet at Shellhammers and Oreville. He would always sponsor special events when asked abd work the events as director, technical informant,or just a participant. Frank was a great friend to all of us who had the pleasure of being a friend to him. He gave his all to a sport he truly loved and wanted to share with everyone. He will be greatly missed by all of us but never forgotten. As the old saying goes "out of sight, out of mind"--that will never pertain to Frank Sears--he will never be forgotten. Great men like Frank Sears don't come along often and will never be erased from our memories.

This memorial was established to pay tribute to a great man, husband, father, and most of all friend. Please remember to honor his memory and do him proud by racing a good clean competitive race. There is a saying the reminds us all of Frank. It is:The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been, and the memories we've made along the way. Thanks Frank for everything you did to help the sport of go karting. You will be missed but not forgotten.

And as Frank would always say,"LET'S GO RACING".
